Margarita Machine Rental Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some answers to common questions about renting a margarita machine from The Margarita Shop of Baton Rouge. Please don't hesitate to call us with any additional questions.

Q. How easy are the machines to operate?
A. Extremely easy. We drop off, set up, mix and fill your first batch. We then give you simple verbal and written instructions for you to ensure a enjoyable party.

Q. How long does it take for the first batch to freeze?
A. Approximately 30 minutes indoors and about 1 hour outside in our summer heat. Mixes with alcohol added could take a little longer.

Q. How will I know when to add more mix?
A. You can continuously add mix to the top as it is being used. A low mix light will come on telling you that you are low on mix so please add more.

Q. How many machines will I need for my party?
A. Depending on the number of partiers that attend....We Recommend:

0 - 50 guests 1 daiquiri machine 2 or 3 mixes
50 - 100 guests 1 daiquiri machine 3 to 5 mixes
100 - 150 guests 2 daiquiri machines 5 to 8 mixes
150 - 200 guests 2 or 3 daiquiri machines 10 to 12 mixes
200 -250 guests 3 or 4 daiquiri machines 12 to 14 mixes
Over 250 don't panic just call we'll help.

Q. How far in advance do I need to reserve a machine?
A. 4 weeks for large parties and around the holiday season is a good rule of thumb but call even if you forget till the last day. We have many daiquiri machines and might have an extra one just for you.

Q. What will you need to supply if you rent from The Margarita Shop?
A. Just a nice level safe and secure place for our Margarita Machine, dedicated 15 Amp wall receptacle and a couple of gallons of water. The rest is easy.

Q. What forms of payment do you take?
A. Cash, Checks and Credit Cards(Visa/Master Card/American Express/Discover)

Q. When do we come back and pick up the machines?
A. Usually we come back the following mornings. We will have an agreed upon scheduled appointment window.

Q. Who cleans out the machines after the party?
A. We take care of cleanup offsite when we pick it up the next day.
